Prayers for the Universal Church, its members and its mission

  • Bishop T J and Rees Johnston as he leads the Living Waters Network and serves as Rector of St. Peter’s in Mount Pleasant, SC; for blessings on him, his family and his ministry
  • Our sister churches in the Anglican Mission, especially St. Andrews, Asheboro, NC; for Rev Jason Patterson and his family; for continued favor on this growing congregation; for clarity and unity of vision; for financial provision
  • ASC members G and A, preparing to move to East Asia to serve as foreign missionaries; for God to open doors for financial support
  • All who bear witness to Christ in the far outposts of the world including ASC Ministry Partners Herman and Mercy Moldez serving in Southeast Asia; for Herman to continue to have access and influence for Christ with key leaders of Terang Nusa (Shining Light); for blessing of his ministry in training leaders in market place ministry for Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. Also for Amani Children’s Home in Tanzania in the final stages of a property lawsuit; for a just and peaceful end to this process.

Prayers for the Nations of the World, Our State and Community

  • Our national, state, and local leaders; for God to govern their hearts and guide their understanding to do those things which are acceptable to him, particularly to lead us to work justice and compassion for the needy, the disenfranchised, the weak and the unborn.
  • Members of our armed forces as they serve throughout the world; keep them safe, enfold them with your protection, and fill them with courage; remember Karen Marvin and her family (Paul, Sarah & Liz) as she begins basic training to be an army EMT

Prayers for the concerns and ministries of Christ’s church in this community

  • World Church Services in their mission to be Christians working together with partners to eradicate hunger and poverty and to promote peace and justice around the world
  • Remember these ASC regulars / members who serve Christ in the community: Walker Sarah, Laura Grace and Paul McSwain; Doug, Lynne, Camille and Bryn Morgan; Josh and Cristen Mugford; Ben, Kristin, Eliana and Annie Bowman. Increase their faith and strengthen them, that with a calm and courageous spirit they may meet all life's demands and know God's peace which passes all understanding

  • Joseph of Arimathaea: when the disciples were hiding in fear from the authorities, Joseph came forward boldly and courageously to provide a tomb for the decent and proper burial of our Lord’s body; may we learn from him to serve Christ with boldness and courage
