Local Missions

Inner Image

The purpose of local missions at All Saints is to love and serve our neighbors by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed. Our neighbors are the people we live near, work and play with and those in need.

Our involvement in local mission is Spirit-led and takes four different forms.

PARTNERS - ASC partners with others who are participating in the mission of God. These partnerships involve prayer, relationship, financial giving and participating in the work of our partners.

ANNUAL PROJECTS - ASC plans and organizes annual projects aimed at loving and serving our community.

PROGRAMS - ASC is a founding member of the Oak Creek Village Partnership which maintains an after school tutoring program for elementary school students, and ESL program and other ongoing ministries to our neighborhood.

242 GROUPS ON MISSION - Each 242 Group at ASC discerns together where the Spirit is calling them to participate in God’s mission and intentionally plans a missional event or gathering at least once a quarter.

The Rev. Thomas Kortus oversees Local Mission at All Saints Church. Please contact Thomas with any questions.

Summer Kids Club
Youth and adults from ASC and other OVCP churches plan and organize an annual summer kids club for the residents of Oak Creek Village. Kids play games, sing songs, do crafts, learn about Jesus. The week culminates with a community celebration.

242 Groups On Mission

Each 242 Group at All Saints Church discerns together where the Spirit is calling them to participate in God’s mission and intentionally plans a missional event or gathering at least once a quarter. Groups serve local non-profits and ministries, plan outreach events and think intentionally about how they can proclaim the gospel in word and deed in their particular contexts.

What deserves to hold the first place among the fruits of the Spirit if not love? Without love other virtues are not reckoned to be virtues. From love is born all that is good.
