As followers of Jesus Christ, we at All Saints Church seek to be people who worship God in spirit and truth....
Human beings inevitably worship something – a deity, an idea, a cause, another person. We all know people who, truth be told, worship themselves, or their possessions, or “the good life.” Jesus engaged in a conversation about worship with a woman who had been married five times, who was living with her sixth “significant other”. As different as she was morally from Jesus, they found common ground in the issue of worship. He told her that worship is not just a human impulse and in fact, that God seeks worshippers who worship him “in spirit and truth”. (Did you ever think about the fact that God is seeking something in us – that he literally longs to see something on our side of the equation?!) So it is not only that we inevitably seek an object for worship but that God calls us into worship. We are literally made for worship, and who and how we worship shapes us on the most profound level of our identity.
Therefore, worship at All Saints is not just something we do because it is “part of the program”: it is our response to God’s desire for worshippers, it is core to our identity as followers of Christ and it is core to our spiritual transformation. When you come to All Saints, you will immediately encounter the distinctive values and practices of our worship. Click here to read on....
