December 14 Congregational Meeting

On Sunday, December 14, after the 11 am service, we will have a congregational meeting to consider the purchase of 908 Leon St., a vacant lot adjacent to 910 Leon St., which is the parking lot owned by Duke Energy. Purchasing this property will allow us more options for a contingency plan for building access and parking for the church building on 920 Leon St. (which we are currently under contract to purchase) in the event that Duke Energy needs to repurpose the current parking lot and driveway. The motion is to approve purchasing the land, provided the parking contingency plan is to the vestry's satisfaction. We hope to have more detailed financial information in the next week that we will share with you all, including multiple options for Q & A. It is a requirement of our bylaws, however, to announce the congregational meeting at least two weeks in advance. Joining and voting by Zoom will be possible.
